DELL INSPIRON 7537 Not Shutting Down Properly.

Well guys I have a Dell 3542 and I was having the same issue searched for 2 days and this drove me crazy. Thanks in advance. This should do the trick but hopefully there will be a new driver that doesn’t exhibit these issues. Thanks for all those that pointed to this being the culprit. http://xmailing.net/dell-inspiron/dell-inspiron-15r-n5110-keeps-shutting-down-after-re-installing-windows.php

Everything is working fine, except that Windows won't installed any cumulative update and neither it properly shuts down. I ask because the card doesn't work for me.

I would like to explore software fixes before replacing the battery itself. When I put the laptop to sleep off battery (sometimes overnight), I wake up to find the battery completely drained. Hello, I have the same laptop and facing same problem, I have looked around and can't find a solution for the power issue. Right click the Start Button and select Power Options → System Settings. Also disable Intel Management Engine Interface in the Device Manger. However I have got a trick. Aren't these located in the Advanced Options for the power profiles?

although it was fully chrged before shutdown. I downgraded to version 9 and am currently running version 9. Thanks in advance. this contact form I don't see an option for those and can't locate the "wake" on LAN option.

So I installed the older version from dell site version 9.xx.xx.xx. That fixed the issue. Try and see if fast boot is enabled and then disable it.

It is relatively new, I've owned it for about two months now. I think I will be rolling back to Windows 8.1 if nothing solves the problem. The screen is turned off and nothing responds, I have to do a forced shutdown ( the system is still running for some reason) by holding down the power button. It will set my laptop into weird circle when it only keeps running at full speed -_- I have heard these reasons of this: GPU drivers, bad drivers at general, and
