by R. I think microsoft defragmenter probably crashed my computer when I ran it the first time because I hadn't run a defrag in so long. if you have left it to run overnight for example and it hasn't made any progress don't be afraid to stop it with the stop button and start it again. When XP is loading it took about 10-12 blue lines to load and now I counted 86 blue lines for XP to load up. I assumed this was the problem causing the freezes whenever any of the previous programs tried to access those files. Three things can cause it, an extreem defragmented drive, A bad cluster on the hard drive, or a software problem.
