I couldn't work out how to turn the screensaver off. Defragging is the rearrangement of data on a computer hard drive so that as many files as possible are contiguously stored. Some files are corrupted due to flaw in the hard drive sector. I found two corrupt files in the dllcache which froze my computer if I so much as right clicked on them. Even though defrags never crash anything on my machine DSKCHK always crashes after it finishes (through rebooting) lately. It should run just fine then. This will test the drive, but doesn't do the data recovery.
I think microsoft defragmenter probably crashed my computer when I ran it the first time because I hadn't run a defrag in so long.
